HOW TO SELF-PUBLISH FICTION AND NONFICTION BOOKS
An Information Gathering Lab

~ It’s One Big Q&A ~

Each Lab: Single session / 2 hrs

I self-published my first novel, Swimming Naked with Jellyfish, which received good reviews from Little, Brown and Company, Benjamin Cheever, etc. and won the 2009 Eric Hoffer-Montaigne Medal Finalist Award for Thought Provoking Books and for Excellence in Independent Publishing. I also self-publish the  Islands series of coloring/poem books: Islands, A Coloring Book for Adults, 30 Drawings, 30 Poems and Islands, A Coloring Book for Teens and Kids, 30 Hand-Drawn Drawings, 30 Poems and Recipes. I learned a lot and much common sense, which I’m passing on to you.

What’s an Information Gathering Lab? It’s one big Q&A. An intensive, interactive learning session where the concentration is on you, the seeker of information and support.

What’s different about an IG Lab? You can ask me multiple questions, express ideas, concerns about your book project anytime during this interactive lab.

What subjects will we cover?

  • Self-publishing a book from start to finish
  • Deciding who to hire to self-publish a book
  • Learning about online publishers
  • Internet presence, websites, blogs
  • Finding ways to save money
  • How to price your book
  • Finding your book’s market
  • Locations to sell your fiction or nonfiction book

Most important, I’ll give you the encouragement and perseverance you need to go forward with your self-publishing project. Bring your large pad or laptop and be prepared to gather a lot of helpful, practical and common sense information.
