DEEPAK CHOPRA

January 22, 2010 · Leave a Comment

I just discovered Deepak Chopra’s stuff. Loving what I’m reading. He thinks and writes so clearly. so bottom line, so sensible. Believing all that he’s saying. Yes, I’ve believed for a long time that coincidences are flares of messages from the nonlocal intelligence.

WHERE IS THE HAITIAN GOVERNMENT AND WHY AREN’T THEY HELPING THEIR PEOPLE?

January 17, 2010 · Leave a Comment

I am so angry by this whole Haitian thing. For 6 days I’ve been following the devastation of the earthquake and now, besides feeling compassion and sorrow for the Haitian people, I feel anger for them. Why aren’t the people angry at their government for abandoning them? Why aren’t they angry at their government for not providing for them?

Where has their president been for 5 days? What is he doing hour by hour? Is he eating food and drinking clean water? Is he sleeping comfortably in his palace? On the first day of the earthquake, the president’s wife announced to the world that they are okay. Who the f— cares if they are okay? What are they doing for the people they are responsible for? Today the Haitian president sent a message of thanks to the American people for helping them. Where is his message to his own people? Why isn’t he getting food, water, medicine, shelter, protection to his people?

I think the Belgian doctors did the smart and right thing by pulling out. Why should they stay to help when their own lives are in danger, when they feel so overwhelmed and devastated themselves?

Where are the angry leaders among the Haitian people? They should be leading the people to storm the palace gates. They should be pitching tents on that huge, beautifully manicured palace lawn I saw on TV yesterday. The lawn looked newly mowed, no weeds in sight. The camera showed the people living in pitched tents in squalor. They should be pitching their tents on that lawn. They should be taking over the palace, eating the food there, sleeping in those comfortable beds, getting decent shelter. Will the president demand that his palace get rebuilt before the people get clean water to drink?

It infuriates me that the Haitian people are singing and praying. There is a time to sing and a time to pray but right now is the time for the people to get angry, to get moving and demonstrate by the homes and offices of the government leaders demanding action, demanding food, water, medicine, decent shelter, law enforcement, money, schools, jobs, a decent infrastructure, industries to provide income, emotional support and their integrity. They should be demanding a decent country in which to live. They should be demanding what most other countries provide for their citizens.

I think Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Anderson Cooper should come home. Dr. Gupta is looking so overwhelmed, so shocked, scared and exhausted by what he is witnessing. He might become scarred for life. I think we should leave those people to wake up and get angry and demonstrate for a decent life. In their poverty, chaos and abandonment, they need to become brave, act and take charge of their lives.

Another thing I’m angry about. Why isn’t anyone talking about how the government has abandoned their people? All the news correspondents, news anchors and news shows are tiptoeing around this subject. No one is demanding that a government official be interviewed for answers. The Haitian ambassador to the U.S. was sitting right next to Wolf Blitzer and being interviewed, but Mr. Blitzer didn’t ask the BIG QUESTIONS that must be on everyone’s minds: Where are the Haitian government leaders? What have they been doing for 5 days? What has the president been doing for 5 days? How are they helping their people?

In the chaos, anarchy and devastation of Haiti, anger should now be setting in.

WILL THE VATICAN HELP HAITI?

January 13, 2010 · Leave a Comment

When a country has a devastating natural catastrophe, like an earthquake, tsunami etc., the other countries step up and publicly announce how they will help that country. With Haiti needing so much help because of their tremendous earthquake, the Vatican should step up, join other countries and publicly declare how they will help Haiti. While prayer is wonderful and really works, the people of Haiti need money to rebuild their country.

CHARITY:WATER

November 22, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Charity:water is a nonprofit that provides clean drinking water and toilets to poor people who don’t have them. 100% of your donation goes to building the water wells and clean toilets. All administrative costs are paid by separate donations from individuals and corporations. When I give a gift to a friend, I make a donation in their name to Charity:water. I also buy products on their website, charitywater.org, and give them as gifts. When my husband wants to give me a birthday gift or Mother’s Day gift, now I tell him to make a donation to Charity:water in my name. I have all I need but these people don’t even have clean water or toilets. The founder and president, Scott Harrison, is a gift from God. He is a visionary who has integrity, tenacity, and a very big heart. Scott is very special. Check out his interview by The Idea Camp at http://vimeo.com/3443790.

AMERICAN GOVERNMENT SHOULD SUPPORT OUR WAR FIGHTERS

October 20, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I think that if our government can send our men and women to risk their lives to fight a war, the least our government can do, when our war fighters return home, is provide them with a job, free college, a low cost house, low cost loans and free medical and psychological services. I feel shame for my government that we abandon our war fighters when they come home. Do you agree?

I AM SO BORED WITH VIOLENCE

October 11, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I am so bored with violence. No matter what new movie comes out in 2009, it’s the same old thing we’ve been seeing for thousands of years–people hitting people, people shooting people, people killing people. The only thing that changes are the people, the places and the weapons. Our minds are stuck in the same hole. Violence is so primitive, so nonthinking, so uncreative. Our mind is much better than this. Women of the world: take over and create movies and entertainment that I can think about! Let’s use our brains, not our brawn. Do you understand what I’m saying?

POLANSKI SHOULD SERVE HIS TIME

September 30, 2009 · 2 Comments

Roman Polanski pled guilty to raping a 13-year-old girl 32 years ago. The fact that he fled America and has been living in France all these years does not remove the crime. It’s outrageous that people in the movie industry, who hold low esteem for females anyway, want him absolved of his crime. The victim is sadly calling for his release, probably because she received a big payoff check from him. This case reeks of immoral behavior. How do you feel about this case?

HUMANS ARE 99.9/10% IDENTICAL

August 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I just saw on the National Geographic Channel that human beings are 99.9/10% identical. I guess the 1/10% is the color of our eyes, hair etc. This 99.9/10% number really hits home that, all over the planet, we are alike and have the same needs. Does this astound you?

ETs AND UFOs EXIST

August 22, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I would love to see more stories in the news about ETs and UFOs. This is our future. Finding ETs and UFOs from other planets really excites me. Check out the article in the August 24 & 31, 2009 issue of Newsweek magazine entitled “Aliens Exist” by Andrew Romano. Big news! Tell me how you feel about ETs and UFOs.
